Every first appointment at our clinic is arranged individually. Depending on the concerns you share when you contact us, our team will decide together with you whether the first visit is best with parents only, or with parent and child together. Because each family's situation is different, first appointments are handled personally by our team rather than through a standard online booking process.

How to get in touch

Please contact us with a short note about your concerns — for example, your child's age, what you have been noticing, and any input from school or previous professionals. Our team will then guide you on the most helpful way to arrange your first visit.

Helpful information to gather

  • A short summary of what you have noticed and when it started.
  • Recent school reports, therapy notes and any previous assessments.
  • Current medications, allergies and ongoing medical conditions.
  • Two or three questions you would like answered.
  • Languages spoken at home and by carers.

What the first visit looks like

First visits are unhurried conversations about your child's development, learning and behaviour. The format is decided with you beforehand. The paediatrician listens, asks focused questions, and may briefly observe or interact with your child if they are present. The visit helps organise concerns and plan practical next steps together.

Common questions

How is a first appointment arranged?
Every first appointment is arranged individually by our team. Depending on the concerns you share, we will decide together whether the first visit is best with parents only, or with parent and child together.
Why isn't there a standard online booking?
Because each family's situation is different, first appointments are handled personally by our team rather than through a fixed online process. Please contact us and we will guide you through the next step.
Do I need a referral?
A referral is not required. If you have one, please share it with any existing reports so our team can prepare.
Will I leave with a diagnosis?
Usually not at a first visit. The visit helps clarify concerns and decide together whether further assessment is helpful before drawing any conclusions.
